Prayer of Trust and Confidence
Invitation to Self-Examination and Confession of our Need for God’s Forgiveness (unison)
Lord of our lives, forgive us. In our words, we are tempted to speak in whispered tones. In our work, we are tempted to serve you with halfhearted energy. In our worship, we are tempted to thank you with leftover gifts. As you forgive and make us whole again, give us, we pray, a gentle and generous spirit.
