Prayer of Adoration and Praise
Invitation to Self-Examination and Confessing our Need for GodÕs Forgiveness
Lord of our lives, like a child at rest in the loving arms of a parent, we trust the shelter of your love. As Jesus embraced a child in his arms, so you welcome us as your cherished sons and daughters. You have invited us to become partners in your loving grace, embracing the needs and hurts of the world. Forgive our tendency to become preoccupied with seeking our own personal comfort and reassurance. Help us to embrace all the earthÕs children with the care and compassion shown by Christ. Like our Savior, give us a ready smile and a willingness to love all your children as members of a common family.

The ApostlesÕ Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.

*Song Give Thanks Henry Smith
Give thanks with a grateful heart, give thanks to the Holy One;
Give thanks because heÕs given Jesus Christ, his Son. (repeat)
And now let the weak say, ÒWe are strong!Ó
Let the poor say, ÒWe are rich because of what the Lord has done for us!Ó (repeat)
Give thanks. Give thanks.
*Prayer of Dedication, concluding with The LordÕs Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed by thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and, lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory, forever. Amen
